Little River Canyon

Little River Canyon is one of the deepest canyons east of the Mississippi River sits on the southern edge of the Cumberland plateau and that has been carved by the Little River which is protected by the national Wild and Scenic Rivers Act.The Little Canyon Preserve is composed of 15,288 acres of acres offering spectacular views and waterfalls throughout the canyon any time of the year. Little Canyon can be explored by driving or hiking one of the trails that descends to the river at the bottom of the canyon.
Cherokee Rock Village
Large rock outcroppings abound on the property and in nearby areas. Cherokee Rock Village is about 7 miles from the secret. It was one of the sites selected for filming the 2006 movie, Failure to Launch, starring Matthew McConaughey & Sarah Jessica Parker. Visitors discover rock formations over 100 feet high that form unusual observation decks. Rock climbers from surrounding states may always be found scaling the rocks. This area is located on an old pioneer road and Indian trail that is today called the Lookout Mountain Trail. This trail is known to have existed during the Civil War.
DeSoto State Park and DeSoto Falls
DeSoto State Park is a nature lover’s dream. Activities include fishing, swimming, rock climbing, hiking and the 104 foot tall DeSoto Falls.
Noccalula Falls
Noccalula Falls is a 90 foot waterfall and park area located near Gadsden.
Weiss Lake
The Secret overlooks the 30,000 acre Weiss Lake fed by both the Coosa River and Little River. Weiss Lake is known as the “Crappie Capital of the World”.
