There’s a slight breeze blowing across the mountain this morning. If it were September I would think it would be change in the air but I know we are in for a couple of hot months here in the South. School now starts back much earlier than it did in the past so folks are beginning to take those last minute getaways and plan for the fall. Leaf season here is gorgeous!!! I can’t wait for that first smell of smoke in the air from the nighttime fires and for that first crisp, cool morning where I need a long sleeve shirt!!! Maybe if we close our eyes and think cool thoughts we will forget the heat and humidity that surrounds us!! Or, perhaps a nighttime swim will do the trick!!
