The Weaver Mansion-Built on Solid Rock

In 1965 when the main lodge of The Weaver Mansion, now The Secret Bed and Breakfast was constructed it was built on solid rock. The building itself is concrete and steel. The main lodge area, which serves as a breakfast and gathering area has a tile floor which was imported from Italy. According to one of our guests that particular tile as been quarried out!
The steel beam that supports the ceiling is actually painted to look like wood. Mr. Weaver hired and artist to paint all the metal in the house to look like wood. One of the fascinating tales we have heard is that Mr. Weaver had some kind of light on the ceiling of the lodge that he turned on to entertain guests. It would produce the galaxy and millions of stars onto the tongue and groove ceiling.
